PARKING SPACE

SUNDAY! Good morning! As you awake and start your day this day,,, please stop, and thank God for it! and then be off to a great day, and oh yes , as you are thanking Him for the day,,, please ask Him to accompany you,, on your day's journey! Prayer Request: For Felecia and Kimberly, who lost their sister in a car accident yesterday! Pray for God to comfort them at this time, and also their parents. PARKING SPACE! Back in 2010, I wrote an article call "Parking Lot ANGEL"...and this week , I was reminded of this as I watched the news. People were fighting over parking places at Walmart, Target, ball games, other events! Yes, actual fights,, as one was standing in an open space for someone to drive around and return to it.. another tries to run over him, and then curses him, and finally, out of the car, and fist flying, as the law had to be called in! and there were more, women also was just as vocal , and violet as men! As this Nation is mostly over-weight, as I am,, we all need to park as far from our calorie palaces,, and do some walking,, , we all could use a little "fat" burning, and as best as I remember,, all of my fights left some very sore places on all parts of my body,, so I had rather walk than fight! Now for the kick of this story, of another angel... as I watched the parking spaces for the handicap,, I just looked at all of the cads, lexes, big cars, and people getting out of them , and walking better than I, like a teen, smiling as they walk in...and why am I bringing this up?,, For as I gaze down the aisles,,, about 20 spaces or more from the door,,, in drives an older car, with a handicap sticker on it... drives on in to that far away space, you know the one at the far end of the lot? Then, from that little old car,, steps a man of about 80, with a cane, barely able to walk, gets out and walks to the other side , holds the door open and out comes this little old woman of about the same age and then,,, with his arm out for his wife, who has a cane also, and both walking very slow towards the store,, a person is heard asking ... why didn't you use that space up there? (handicap space),, and as both of them smiles,, the old man says, "Oh, that is for someone who may not be able to walk to the door very good,,, or not at all.. YES, THERE ARE STILL PEOPLE WHO ACT LIKE PEOPLE, REAL PEOPLE! ABLE, AND WILLING, AND THINKING OF OTHERS, NOT THEMSELVES.. so if you are one of those who uses a handicap place,, and are not handicaped, stop, remember that little old man and woman,, and that vacant spot ,, give it up, and smile and walk,,,for some can't ! Lord, thank You for the insight of some people ,and help those who do not use theirs, to open not only their eyes, but their hearts. amen John HIcks Have a great God's day, as they all are!
