Wednesday- HUMP DAY-- as you climb to the top of the "hump",, and you get ready to slide downhill to the w/e,, slide with care, humility, and love,, for the feelings of others, satisfaction to yourself, and the love of your God.
Prayer Request: For our VBS, and all others who are enjoying theirs, and pray for those in the teaching spots, and most of all , pray for our children!
THE YARD STICK!
How many of you own a yard stick, a measuring tape, a ruler? We all own one of these. We use these items regular,, some use them daily.. We use them to measure to see what will fit in a room,, how long to make something,, cut lumber, check to see how tall we are, and to , yes , the most important, measure our kids growth.
We can measure height, but how do we measure their personal feelings, their hearts, their spiritual feeling? Only by results.. their is no "magic yard stick" for this . As you go, results,, wow , what a way to measure your children,,, and not have a heart attack,, waiting to see if they pass "muster". Some , see results too late, with heartache and sadness, some see results with glee, heart throbbing with great affection. Just how do you prepare for this "instant measurement"?
You start with the "Yard Stick of Life" , and that stick, is God Almighty. If you live with God,, believe in , accept Jesus Christ, and live a Christian life.. the "results" have a greater percentage of good, over bad. That "Yard Stick " winds up being you, with that child watching you,, then mirroring you,, so that is why, it is so important, to live your life , like you want your off-spring to live , worship who you want them to worship,, that is God Almighty, and the acceptance of Jesus Christ,, being a Christian.. yes ,, with these three things,, you become their
YARD STICK,, OF THEIR LIFE!
Lord, I pray for the youth of our world today,,, they have so much more of satan around them than ever before,, and I pray that you give us all the strength to stand tall and measure up to their expectations.. and to teach them , YOU... amen

As you travel down the road of life,, be a mirror to the youth,, live as you should, not as you want to impress others or worry of how you are perceived ,, want to impress someone, then impress God!
